I have been wearing MBT’s for the last 20 years. I was first introduced to them in the ER at A trauma center where I worked. All the ER nurses were wearing them and claiming that it was relieving their back problems. However, when I initially saw the price tag I went Yikes!!!? After a while I join the rest of the nurses and I began wearing them. These are the best shoes for people who are on their feet for a long period of time or who are in the healthcare field.I must caution you -even though they have decreased the height of shoe YOU must STILL get used to the rocking motion of the shoes. If you study the research utilized in the design of these shoes you will learn the goal is not to have any pressure points, i.e. alleviation or assuaging of back pain.? This is one of the running versions and I am very pleased. They are not as bulk/ klutzy as the walkers. I am not a runner and am using them for work in a busy veterinary hospital. I needed a good rocker bottom shoe. After researching many options, this looked like a good choice. I was able to take the shoe's insert out and put my custom orthotic in it's place, giving me rise on my right leg. I did some walking yesterday and they really felt wonderful. Very secure and they enabled me to work on correcting my gait. They are new for me but I am very encouraged about these.Thick cushioning for shock absorption and supportive comfort. These are supposed to be "trainers" but I use them to stand 8-10 hours a day on a nasty concrete floor. Firm but comfortable arch support, real leather uppers. Worth the money!True to size. Could have been a bit archly in the sole.I work on my feet for 9 hours straight, and I used to wear the Sketcher rockers. They don’t make those anymore and I found these. These are very comfortable and I highly recommend them. The rocker action isn’t as pronounced, but still a great shoe.My wife has worn MBT trainers for several years and really likes them. Sehr bequem und guter Halt! - leider nach 1 1/2 Jahren die Fersenkappen innen durchgescheuert. Könnten haltbarer sein, bei dem Preis. - - - - Nachtrag: nach nur 2 Jahren ist der Schuh jetzt hinüber. Das Leder löst sich im Vorfußbereich von der Sohle . . . Der Verkäufer hatte schon vor 1/2 Jahr kein Interesse etwas zu ersetzen - konnte angeblich keine Rechnungsunterlagen sichten, wegen "Umstellung der EDV"Trage diese Art Schuhe schon seit einigen Jahren und bin bisher immer zufrieden damit! Die aller ersten waren meiner Meinung nach etwas Trainingsintensiver dennoch reichen mir diese auch! Trotz meines breiten Fußes habe ich keine Probleme mit diesen Schuhen, auch mit meinem Hallux funktioniert dieser Schuh prima!Meinen alten MBT Schuh, einen hohen Sneaker habe ich geliebt, leider löste er sich nach über 15 Jahren auf. Ich habe sie fast ständig im Haus getragen. Wichtig war mir, dass der Schuh über den Knöchel geht, damit ich nicht so leicht umknicke. Denn in den Halbschuhen knickte ich permanent um.Leider gibt es hohe MBT's nur als Stiefel, wohl möglich noch gefüttert, und die möchte ich nicht als Hausschuhe tragen. Also probierte ich notgedrungen diesen.Irgendwie sind die MBT's aber anders als damals. Die Ferse sinkt nicht mehr so schön ein, der Schuh ist nicht mehr so instabil und wackelig. Leider nicht das was ich suche. Bei einem so hohen Preis, sollte für mich schon alles perfekt sein.
